    Acme Solar Wins NHPC Tender for 275 MW Battery Storage Projects in Andhra Pradesh

    ACME Solar Places 2 GWh BESS Order Through Posco International Corporation

    On Thursday, 26 June 2025, Acme Solar Holdings AHB, +1.64 percent, was declared the winner of the NHPC tender in Andhra Pradesh, by virtue of which the company will be required to develop and operate a battery storage capacity of 275 megawatts (MW), as per an exchange filing.

    “ACME Solar Holdings Limited has emerged as the winning bidder for NHPC’s tender for cumulative capacity of 275 MW/550 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Andhra Pradesh across two projects at Kuppam and Ghani.”

    As per the filing data, the company won the deal for the Kuppam project with a fixed tariff of 210,000/MW at a monthly rate. The project capacity is 50 MW, and by winning the bid for the Ghani project, the fixed tariff is 222,000/MW with 225 MW capacity.

    Under the project, the viability gap funding of 27 lakh per MWh or 30 percent of the total project cost, whichever is less, would also be given to the company.

    Acme Solar Holdings Share Price Trend

    The price of Acme Solar Holdings stock closed 0.62 percent up on Thursday at the end of stock market operations at 246.70 in comparison to 248.25 on the last market stamp. The update on the NHPC deal was announced by the company after the trading hours in the stock market on 26 June 2025.

    Its stocks, the renewable energy producer, have earned the investors more than 7.63 percent returns since it was listed in the Indian stock market in November 2024.

    The shares have yielded 4.96 percent in 2025 year-to-date (YTD) and 1.19 percent in the last five sessions in the stock market.

    The share of Acme Solar Holdings attained its highest price point of 52 weeks at 292 rupees on 4 December 2024 and the lowest point of 52 weeks at 167.55 rupees on 28 January 2025, based on the price data that have been obtained at the BSE website.

    The market capitalization (M-Cap) of the company stood at 14,954.74 crore till the time the stock market closed on Thursday, 26 June, 2025.
