AlphaESS has launched the Aster 5000, a cutting-edge 5 MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system designed for high performance and safety.

It is a tremendous development in the energy storage technology, as AlphaESS (a famous leader in the energy solutions business) has finally announced the release of its new product, the Aster 5000. This forward energy storage system has a storage capacity of 5 MWh with a liquid cooling system and is fitted in a fully integrated 20-foot container. The Aster 5000 has the dual-core architecture and was made to satisfy the current world demand for safe, efficient and continuous energy storage systems.

    High-Density Energy Storage System

Aster 5000 has 12 clusters, each fitted with four modules with the 314Ah powerful battery cells. Having a total weight of 42.5 tons with an IP55 protection level, it works smoothly in extreme environments with temperatures between -40°C and 50°C. The fact that it sports an innovative single-door design only adds to its usability, with back-to-back installation doubling the power density over its predecessor, the Aster 3720, while using 40 percent less footprint. The scheme proposes a huge saving on land costs and infrastructure, making it more attractive to big projects.

    Dynamic Balancing to Greater Performance

Aster 5000 features AlphaESS’s cutting-edge innovation, the Active Balancing, that also makes the balance readjustments extremely fast in real-time compared to the conventional passive balancing system by making the balance adjustment of the entire battery system up to 23 times faster. This development does not only lengthen the life of batteries by at least 10 percent but also reduces energy losses and the cost of operation. The system also boasts of an inbuilt liquid cooling platform, which houses the intelligent cooling, heating, circulation and auto-refill liquid modes. Proactive dehumidification with low-noise fans brings a low-level and consistent working condition, which is a great upgrade compared to its precedents.

    Whole Body Safety Certifications

The utmost concern of the Aster 5000 is the safety of the system, and it adheres to the most important international standards: IEC 62619, IEC 62933, UL 9540A, UL 1973, NFPA 68, and NFPA 69. It has features such as real-time monitoring, multilevel aerosol fire suppression systems, ventilation openings, and optional water-based fire protection, which help protect equipment and people as well.

The accessory was formulated to meet the future requirements of long-term storage.

Aster 5000 is exquisitely designed in order to serve the emerging necessity of the world energy environment. It is capable of use in any application where 4 to 8+ hours, grid peak shaving, frequency control, integration of renewable energies, and increased energy independence are needed. With its in-house Battery Management System (BMS) and high-quality thermal management ability, this energy storage solution enables a dependable and expandable option for energy projects all over the world.

    International Service and Support

AlphaESS does not just offer the best products, but they provide numerous project services that stretch all the way to technical training and lifetime maintenance of the project. Their work is supported with top-level technical training, rapid troubleshooting and parts services to make sure that the system continues to perform reliably as long as the product itself exists. With the support of an international network of 40 offices and more than 300 service points, AlphaESS closely monitors and ensures localized service in time, strengthening the policy of their customer satisfaction.
