Amara Raja Group Appoints Dr Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari as Group CHRO

Amara Raja Group Appoints Dr Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari as Group CHRO

Amara Raja Group, a diversified conglomerate with revenues exceeding $2 billion, has appointed Dr Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Dr Maheshwari succeeds Jaikrishna B, who is retiring after more than two decades of leading the group’s HR function.

Dr Maheshwari brings nearly 30 years of HR leadership experience spanning manufacturing, automotive, energy, technology, hospitality, financial services, and shared services. She joins Amara Raja from Siemens, where she served as Executive Vice President and Country Head for People & Organisation, as well as Diversity Officer.

In her new role, Dr Maheshwari will spearhead the group’s HR function, focusing on strategic people initiatives, fostering innovation, and reinforcing Amara Raja’s values-driven culture.

Vikramadithya Gourineni, Executive Director of Amara Raja Group, welcomed the appointment, stating, “We are recognised globally for our employee centricity and strong focus on culture. Shilpa’s experience in steering HR strategies for large global organisations will be instrumental in shaping our future as we explore new businesses and geographies.”

Expressing her enthusiasm, Dr Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari, Chief Human Resources said, “I am thrilled to join Amara Raja Group. The organisation’s commitment to innovation and its strong people-centric values resonate deeply with me. I look forward to working with our people and leadership team to build agile, future-ready HR practices that empower our employees and accelerate the group’s transformative journey.”

Dr Maheshwari holds an Honours degree in Economics, an MBA, and a PhD in Leadership Development, and is also an author, certified coach, and trainer.

Founded by Dr Ramachandra N Galla, Amara Raja Group operates across diverse sectors, including automotive, EV and industrial batteries, infrastructure, electronics, auto components, and food processing. With a global customer base, the group continues to drive growth through innovation, strategic expansion, and a strong focus on its people.
