BAK Battery unveils the ENDURO S+ Commercial and Industrial Liquid-Cooled Integrated Cabinet, providing a safe, efficient, and flexible storage of energy. Innovative energy storage is a crucial sector in energy storage, and since 2024, the global need for industrial and commercial energy storage has been increasing at a very high rate.
The main need of C&I energy storage has changed to be less peak-valley arbitrage and more varied, comprising emergency backup energy to the industrial and commercial customer, energy conservation, reduction of emissions, and the optimization of electricity costs.
To meet this increasing demand, BAK Battery has presented the ENDURO S+ battery storage system as a commercial and industrial battery storage system. The system will operate using self-developed 314 Ah high-capacity battery cells, with a long cycle life of 10,000 cycles, a high energy density of 190 Wh/kg, 2C high power, and a discharge of more than 95 percent. It has also been able to pass the needle penetration test, which makes it very safe and reliable.
The BAK ENDURO S+ takes an extremely integrated modular structure and creates system discharge efficiency of more than 92 with a capacity of 261 kWh in each cabinet and a space footprint of 1.33 ㎡ (approximately a quarter of the size of conventional double-door cabinets). The system facilitates the use of flexible capacity expansion and multi-unit parallel connection whereby ten units can be connected into a single system. It is suitable for different locations such as industrial parks, shopping malls, office buildings, and charging stations. Regarding safety, it has a variety of fire protection systems and smart monitoring, which offers a multi-level protection system and 24/7 remote monitoring to effectively eliminate any possible risk.
The ENDURO S+ also has two capabilities: emergency solution and efficiency maximization. It provides off-grid and grid-connected infrastructure, which gives continuous power to the important equipment. It will also enable users to save a lot in electricity bills in the long run through peak shaving, valley filling, and demand management. Having a life span of up to 15 years, the system can give a cost recovery period of 3-4 years, hence cost reduction as well as operational efficiency.
