In a significant boost to India’s renewable energy landscape, Bondada Engineering has announced securing a major order valued at approximately INR 945.11 crore from NLC India Renewables Limited (a subsidiary acting on behalf of NLC India Limited). The contract covers Balance of System (BOS) works for establishing 810 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Rajasthan.
The project is located at the RVUNL Solar Park in Bikaner, a key site under Rajasthan’s ambitious renewable energy initiatives. This development aligns with the earlier Power Purchase Agreement signed between NLC India Renewables and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL) for supplying power from this 810 MW capacity.
As per the regulatory filing, the comprehensive scope of work includes:
- Design and engineering
- Site development and preparation
- Manufacture and inspection at supplier’s works
- Supply of materials, insurance, transport, and storage
- Erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of the full 810 MW solar power project
Additionally, the contract encompasses setting up the evacuation system up to the delivery point, specifically the 33 KV side of the 33/400 KV Park Pooling Substation (PSS).
Bondada Engineering is also obligated to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of three years post-commissioning.
The entire project must be completed within 15 months from the receipt of the Letter of Award (LOA).
“This prestigious order reinforces the company’s strong execution capabilities, growing presence in the renewable energy sector and robust order book visibility, further positioning Bondada Engineering as a key EPC player in large-scale solar infrastructure projects in India,” the company stated in its announcement.
It further added that with this order, the company’s total EPC orders in hand have reached 3 GW, strengthening its medium-term growth pipeline.
This win underscores Bondada Engineering’s expanding role in India’s solar EPC segment, contributing to national goals for clean energy transition. The project at Bikaner’s RVUNL Solar Park is expected to play a vital part in enhancing Rajasthan’s solar capacity and supporting grid stability through renewable integration.
