Bridge and Roof Company (India) Limited (BANDR) has floated a tender for the development of a 600 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Divided into two 300 MW segments, the project will be part of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s (NTPC REL) Khavda Renewable Energy Park – South Block and will be integrated with the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS).
Released on October 13, 2025, the tender invites bids for the Balance of System (BOS) package, covering the complete scope of design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the PV system. Bidders must also undertake the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of three years post-commissioning.
The site in the Rann of Kutch is strategically selected due to its high solar irradiance and availability of large tracts of land, supporting efficient utility-scale solar installations. This development aligns with India’s national objectives to expand renewable energy capacity and promote cleaner sources of power generation.
Deadline for bidding
The submission deadline for bids is November 14, 2025. Interested parties are required to provide an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹1 crore and a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 3% of the contract value, ensuring the financial and technical seriousness of the participating bidders.
This initiative places a strong emphasis on long-term operational reliability, with the mandatory O&M scope aiming to sustain performance, minimize downtime, and maximize power output. It also showcases BANDR’s role in supporting India’s renewable infrastructure buildout, particularly through partnerships with entities like NTPC REL.
The project further highlights Gujarat’s continued leadership in renewable energy deployment, leveraging its geographic and climatic advantages to bolster clean power generation.
