Canada Unveils World’s Largest EV Parkade

The largest electric vehicle (EV) charging parkade in the world has been installed by Concord Pacific Developments in the Concord Brentwood neighborhood of Burnaby. This cutting-edge facility supports the rising demand for EVs and represents a major development in sustainable infrastructure.

    Important Points

Capacity: Quick chargers around 2,000 cars at once.

Parking Spaces: 1,974 subterranean parking spaces are available for EV charging around-the-clock.

Infrastructure: A strong electrical system that can supply power to every access point at once.

Location: The Brentwood SkyTrain station is less than half a kilometer away.

Commitment to Sustainability: A component of Concord Pacific’s larger green energy programs in five Canadian provinces.

Concord Pacific’s commitment to going above and above municipal EV parking requirements is demonstrated by the new parkade, which is a component of the four-tower Hillside project. With EV charging facilities installed in each of the 1,974 parking spots, homeowners are guaranteed consistent access to electricity. The electrical infrastructure of the facility is built to accommodate all charging stations operating simultaneously, giving EV owners a smooth experience.

Terry Hui, the president and CEO of Concord Pacific, made a commitment to create green infrastructure and produce enough green power for the company’s future communities during a 2015 UN Global Citizen’s Laureate event. “This accomplishment aligns with our enduring dedication to sustainable future communities,” Hui said. Over the past 15 years, our portfolio of wind, solar, and hydro projects has grown dramatically, and it currently spans five Canadian provinces. This kind of infrastructure development aids in completing the cycle of environmentally friendly transportation choices.
