Ceigall India Secures 130 MW Solar EPC Projects in Madhya Pradesh

Ceigall India Limited has received multiple Letters of Award (LoAs) from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) for the development of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants under the PM KUSUM-C scheme, also known as the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme. The projects have a combined capacity of 130 MW (AC) and will be implemented across two districts in Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of work involves the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the solar PV power plants, with the total contract value estimated at approximately ₹550 crore, inclusive of GST. The construction period for the awarded projects is 18 months. Following commissioning, Ceigall India Limited will undertake the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the plants for a period of 25 years.

The projects are part of the PM KUSUM-C programme, a central government initiative designed to promote decentralised renewable energy generation while ensuring reliable power supply to agricultural feeders. By integrating grid-connected solar capacity with existing agricultural infrastructure, the scheme aims to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources and support sustainable farming practices.

Once operational, the 130 MW (AC) solar PV capacity is expected to make a meaningful contribution to Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy portfolio. The projects will also play a key role in supplying clean energy to agricultural feeders, aligning with national and state-level objectives to expand solar power deployment and strengthen energy security in rural areas.

Commenting on the development, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director, Ceigall India Limited, said, “Receiving this LOA from MPUVNL marks a significant milestone in Ceigall’s renewable energy journey. The PM KUSUM-C initiative is a transformative programme aimed at strengthening clean energy adoption while supporting India’s agricultural ecosystem.”

The award further strengthens Ceigall India’s position in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the rapidly growing solar power segment in India. With this project, the company continues to expand its presence beyond its core infrastructure portfolio and enhance its participation in the country’s clean energy transition.

Through the execution of these solar PV projects, Ceigall India Limited is expected to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the state’s power infrastructure while supporting India’s broader goals of renewable energy expansion and environmentally responsible development.
