Exide Technologies to Present ESS for Data Center Applications at Data Centre World Madrid

Exide Technologies, an international leader in battery storage solutions, will present its Solition Data Center system, as well as its next-generation Sprinter Pure Power AGM battery range and its Solition Mega energy storage solutions, at Data Centre World Madrid on the 29th and 30th of October 2025.

As the digital economy, along with artificial intelligence (AI), continues to evolve, data centers are facing increasing demands for capacity, energy efficiency, and sustainability. At the same time, uninterrupted operation remains critical. Choosing the right backup and grid support power system, therefore, is more essential than ever.

With decades of experience as a trusted and reliable partner to data centers and UPS system providers, Exide Technologies supports its customers with a comprehensive suite of backup power solutions. Leveraging deep expertise in battery sizing, energy management, and local project execution, Exide stands out as the ideal partner for reliable and future-ready energy infrastructure.

Discover Exide Technologies’ Data Centre World exhibits

Sprinter Pure Power batteries are based on next-generation AGM thin plate pure lead technology, engineered for AI integration, grid support, and maximum reliability and performance in high-demand large-scale collocation and hyperscale data centers. The robust thin plate design provides excellent energy transfer, while specialized polypropylene containers help minimize water vapor emissions and extend service life.

Meanwhile, the Solition Data Center represents Exide’s most advanced lithium-ion energy storage solution yet, developed specifically for data center and commercial UPS applications. It comprises smart fire protection, mixed battery support, and a compact design with 60% less footprint. It cuts operating costs by up to 80% and features a smart BMS for real-time monitoring and minimal maintenance.

Marathon Power Cycle batteries are engineered with advanced AGM technology and high-purity lead, delivering exceptional cycling capability and long service life. Designed for demanding telecom, utility, and renewable energy applications, the robust front-terminal construction ensures simple installation and maintenance, while high temperature resistance enables reliable outdoor operation and reduces cooling costs.

Solition Mega represents Exide Technologies’ most advanced lithium-ion battery energy storage system, designed for both in-front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter applications. This modular, plug-and-play solution delivers reliable high-capacity power for peak shaving, grid support, energy trading, and backup power.

Meeting today’s energy demands

Pilar Béjar, Energy Solutions Sales Manager Iberica at Exide Technologies, said, “We’re excited to participate in this year’s Data Centre World Madrid, an event that continues to shape the future of innovation and sustainability in our industry. We are proud to showcase a portfolio that not only meets today’s demands for grid support and backup power but also delivers long-term value and reinforces our commitment to environmental responsibility.”
