Gautam Solar Secures ALMM & BIS Approval for High-Efficiency 640 Wp R-Series TOPCon Modules

Gautam Solar has achieved ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification of its high-wattage 640 Wp R-Series TOPCon solar modules and is one of the very few Indian companies to achieve this kind of certification on this superior line of modules.

The 640 Wp R-Series modules are engineered with high-efficiency performance to achieve higher energy output within the same land footprint, resulting in them being of special interest to EPCs and module developers who want to fully realize returns. Being the highest-wattage module in India, the R-Series can be customized to fit the solar installations in the next generation to provide utility-scale projects that can be reliable and efficient in terms of the solar technology.

Key features of the 640 Wp TOPCon modules include:

  • Industry-Leading Peak Output & Efficiency: The R-Series modules reach a peak power output of 640 Wp with module efficiency of up to 23.69%, placing them among the best in their class.
  • Superior Power Density & Land Utilization: Due to its high output and efficiency, the 640 Wp module provides higher energy yield per square meter, resulting in better area utilization and improved energy returns from the same land area.
  • Reduced LCOE and BOS Costs: The high-performance design leads to a reduction in Balance-of-System (BOS) costs per watt and contributes to lowering the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), enhancing overall project economics.
  • Optimized for Utility-Scale Applications: Designed for large ground-mounted solar farms, these modules are ideal where land efficiency, energy yield, and cost competitiveness are key.
  • Reliable Long-Term Performance: Incorporating the benefits of N-type TOPCon technology, the modules offer minimal LID/LeTID, lower annual degradation, potential bifacial gains of up to ~30%, and strong performance under high-temperature conditions.

Gautam Solar will showcase the 640 Wp R-Series modules at the next REI Expo 2025, which will be hosted at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, between October 30 and November 1 (Hall 11, Booth R-312), and visitors will be able to see the latest development in solar technology.

Commenting on the achievement, Gautam Mohanka, Director of Gautam Solar, said, “Achieving ALMM and BIS approvals for our 640 Wp R-Series modules is a major validation of our engineering, quality, and manufacturing excellence. We are committed to not only adhering to the highest quality and compliance standards set by the Government of India but also going beyond them in our offerings to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and advance India’s goal of becoming a world leader in solar power production.”

These certifications have now enabled Gautam Solar to be even better placed to contribute to the plausible renewable energy goals set by the Government of India and be the driver towards transforming the nation into a world leader in solar energy.
