Gentari and UltraTech Launch India’s First On-Site Hybrid RTC Renewable Energy Project

Clean energy solutions company Gentari has partnered with UltraTech Cement Limited, India’s largest cement and ready-mix-concrete company, to fully operationalize the country’s first-of-its-kind on-site Hybrid RTC renewable energy project. The 7.5 MW RTC renewable energy facility brings together solar, wind, and battery energy storage, all co-located within the premises of UltraTech’s integrated cement manufacturing unit, Sewagram Cement Works, located in Gujarat.

Built in response to UltraTech’s need for uninterrupted clean energy, the project represents a new benchmark in India’s clean energy transition, demonstrating the power of customer-led design and integrated system engineering. Gentari’s approach goes beyond generation—it offers solutions for reliability, flexibility, and resilience, offering industrial clients a clean alternative to conventional baseload power.

“This project with UltraTech reflects the evolution of industrial energy demand—and our ability to meet it with foresight, innovation, and collaboration,” said Sharad Pungalia, Country Head, Gentari India. “This project wasn’t built in isolation—it was co-created with our customer UltraTech to deliver a solution that is not only sustainable but also operationally viable at scale.”

This project with UltraTech marks a key milestone in Gentari’s India portfolio and is a cornerstone in the company’s regional strategy to scale firm, renewable power across Asia Pacific. By integrating solar (using bifacial modules with trackers), wind, and storage in a co-located configuration, Gentari is demonstrating how clean energy systems can be engineered for performance, not just production.

As part of its mission to be the region’s most valued clean energy solutions partner, Gentari continues to pioneer integrated solutions across renewable energy, hydrogen and green mobility.
