Himadri Speciality Chemical Secures EcoVadis Platinum Rating for Second Consecutive Year

Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd has once again earned the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, marking its second consecutive year at the highest level of recognition in the globally respected sustainability assessment. This achievement places Himadri among the top 1% of over 150,000 companies evaluated worldwide by EcoVadis, reaffirming the company’s consistent leadership in responsible business practices and sustainable value creation.

Comprehensive ESG Performance Recognised

EcoVadis assessments evaluate companies across 21 criteria under four core pillars Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The methodology is benchmarked against internationally recognised frameworks including the UN Global Compact, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Himadri’s back-to-back Platinum rating reflects its strong performance across these parameters and its ability to embed sustainability into core business operations.

Sustainability Embedded in Business Strategy

The repeated Platinum recognition underscores Himadri’s deeply integrated sustainability approach, supported by robust governance structures, climate-conscious manufacturing practices, ethical business conduct, and responsible supply chain management. Sustainability forms a central pillar of Himadri’s long-term growth strategy, with targeted investments in energy efficiency, emissions reduction, circular economy initiatives, employee well-being, and transparent ESG disclosures aligned with global standards.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr Anurag Choudhary, CMD & CEO of Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd, said:
“Earning the EcoVadis Platinum rating for the second consecutive year is a significant milestone for Himadri and validates how sustainability is integrated into our business strategy and decision-making. This recognition reflects our teams’ collective commitment to responsible manufacturing, ethical practices, and continuous improvement. As we continue to expand our global presence across 56 countries, sustainability will remain central to creating long-term value for stakeholders and contributing to a low-carbon, resilient future.”

Strengthening Global Trust and Value Chains

EcoVadis ratings are widely relied upon by global customers, investors, and partners as a credible, evidence-based benchmark of ESG performance. For Himadri, the renewed Platinum recognition further strengthens its position as a trusted partner in global value chains, aligned with evolving regulatory, customer, and societal expectations.

Commitment to Continuous Progress

Himadri remains committed to advancing its sustainability agenda through measurable actions, transparency, and innovation, as outlined in its publicly disclosed sustainability reports and ESG frameworks. With a strong focus on R&D, clean power utilisation, and responsible manufacturing, the company continues to drive positive impact across industries in India and international markets, reinforcing its role as a sustainability-driven global speciality chemical leader.
