KP Group has appointed Himanshu Roy as its new Head of Talent Acquisition. In this role, he will oversee the Group’s talent acquisition strategy, strengthen workforce planning, drive leadership hiring, and implement scalable recruitment frameworks to support KP Group’s rapidly growing operations in renewable energy and diversified business verticals.
Aligning Talent Strategy with Growth Plans
In his new mandate, Himanshu Roy will collaborate closely with business and leadership teams to ensure talent strategies align with the Group’s expansion plans. He will focus on building future-ready capabilities across geographies and business units, supporting the company’s vision of sustainable growth.
Extensive Experience in HR and Talent Acquisition
Before joining KP Group, Himanshu Roy served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Renefra Energy, leading HR strategy across India and the US for nearly six years. He was responsible for organisation design, leadership development, talent management, and implementing people practices to support business scale-up in the clean energy sector.
He previously held the position of Head of Talent Acquisition at SB Energy (SoftBank Group), managing leadership and critical hiring for large-scale renewable energy projects across India. Earlier, he spent over four years at Azure Power India Private Limited as Head – Talent Acquisition, building robust hiring frameworks to support rapid project expansion.
His career also includes HR leadership roles with ACME Solar Energy (EDF ENR) as Manager – Corporate HR, handling pan-India recruitment, manpower planning, organisational restructuring, HR audits, SAP HR implementation, and talent strategy. He also served as Assistant Manager – Corporate HR at GHCL Limited, supporting bulk hiring, performance management, organisation development, and leadership pipeline initiatives.
Himanshu began his HR journey with Akzo Nobel India Limited in Business HR, and earlier with Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited as Senior Officer – HR, gaining expertise in plant HR, talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation benchmarking, and SAP HR systems.
With his extensive experience in talent acquisition and human resources across leading renewable energy and corporate organisations, Himanshu Roy is expected to play a key role in strengthening KP Group’s workforce capabilities and supporting its ambitious growth trajectory.
