Jyoti Structures (JSL) is a top Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company that works on power transmission infrastructure. They have successfully charged important parts of the 400 kV multi-circuit transmission network that connects Pirana and Ahmedabad. The milestone is a big step forward in making Gujarat’s electricity transmission stronger and moving the project closer to completion.
Successful Charging of Transmission Lines
On February 19, 2026, Jyoti Structures announced that the 400 kV transmission line from Torrent Power Grid (TPL), Pirana to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Ahmedabad (CKT-1) was successfully energised. Later the same evening, the line connecting PGCIL’s Pirana and Ahmedabad stations was also brought online. These energisation events were achieved after meticulous planning, coordination and execution by the project team.
The company navigated several operational and technical challenges throughout the commissioning process, ensuring that both stretches of the transmission corridor were energised smoothly, safely, and reliably. The successful charging reflects Jyoti Structures’ capability to execute complex infrastructure projects under tight schedules and challenging conditions.
Leadership Response
Commenting on the progress, Rajesh Kumar Singh, CEO of Jyoti Structures, highlighted the importance of this achievement in the broader project context:
“The energisation of these sections is a key milestone in the overall project and brings us closer to completing the full transmission corridor.”
He added that the development underscores the company’s dedication to timely execution and high safety standards, and expressed gratitude for the support and coordination of all stakeholders involved in the project, including Torrent Power Grid.
Project Significance
This energisation effort forms part of a larger strategy to enhance Gujarat’s grid infrastructure, enabling more effective transmission of electricity across the region. As part of India’s broader push to upgrade power transmission networks, milestones like this contribute to improved grid resilience and reliability.
