Renewable energy developer and builder KPI Green Energy has achieved an early major milestone in the implementation of its large grid connected solar power project contract with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The company announced the early commissioning of the first phase of its 250 MW AC/350 MW DC solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project.
In an official statement, the kWh solar power plant capacity has been confirmed to stand at an initial capacity of 24.2 MW AC/34.4 MW DC, which has been achieved well before the set time with the project being part of a larger solar power plant tender floated by GUVNL for the procurement of solar power from different solar photovoltaic plants across India.
Project Background and Award Details
KPI Green Energy had received the L rigid letter under Request for Selection, which was RFS No. GUVNL/500 MW/Solar (Phase-XXIV), dated 15th March 2024. GUVNL had floated the tender for a total capacity of 500 MW. It has given allocation through a competitive bidding process.
The company said the commissioned capacity forms part of the 250 MW AC (350 MW DC) solar photovoltaic project awarded to it under this auction framework.
Project Timeline and Execution Progress
