    KPI Green Wins 96 MW Solar Project from Aditya Birla Renewables Under Group Captive Model

    TPDDL has awarded its 250 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) tender to four developers under a build-own-operate (BOO) model.

    KPI Green Energy has won a new solar power project of a 96MW capacity of Aditya Birla Renewables. It is one of the major milestones recorded in the KPI Green as it seeks to grow in the renewable energy business in India.

    The group captive model will be adopted in the project, and this model will enable the commercial, industrial customers to collaborate and invest in production of renewable energy to be used by these individual customers. It is becoming popular due to the financial and environmental benefits associated with this model.

    KPI Green will take care of the development, implementation, and commissioning of the solar aspect of the project. The company will also give operations and maintenance services after the plant is operational.

    The 96 MW solar power will be developed as an organic component of a greater project comprising renewable energy developed by Aditya Birla Renewables. The role of KPI Green sharpens its technical competencies and experience in large-scale solar systems.

    The win of this project enriches the project portfolio of KPI Green and helps it in its growth strategy to develop high-quality solar assets in India. The company has remained committed to expanding its solar infrastructure to keep up with the increased demand for clean energy.

    The group captive model will help the companies of the Aditya Birla Group to procure clean power at a steady tariff and help them in their sustainability goals as well. It aids in adherence to renewable purchase requirements as well.

    KPI Green has been growing its presence in different states and sectors with captive and third-party solar projects. And the partnership with this major corporate group only serves to confirm its business concept and capacity to execute.

    Commissioning of the project will take place in the near future, and construction and installation plans are to be announced in the near future. It will also add to India’s ambitions of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

    Under this arrangement, KPI Green makes another milestone in becoming a leading industry player as a reliable solar EPC and IPP provider, with the aim to address the clean energy requirements of big corporates using sustainable and affordable methods.
