LNJ Bhilwara Group, a leading diversified industrial conglomerate in India, has announced the appointment of Mr. Basant Jain as Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bhilwara Energy Limited and its subsidiaries, the Group’s clean energy and greentech business platform.
In his new role, Mr. Jain will be responsible for steering the strategic direction and growth agenda of Bhilwara Energy. His focus will include scaling the renewable energy portfolio, enhancing operational excellence, and driving sustainable value creation across the Group’s energy and greentech assets.
Mr. Jain brings over 25 years of leadership experience spanning renewable energy, infrastructure, and clean technology sectors. Prior to joining LNJ Bhilwara Group, he served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aplos Ventures Private Limited, where he focused on strategic incubation and entrepreneurship in the solar and cleantech space.
Before founding Aplos Ventures, Mr. Jain was the Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Susten for more than 11 years, during which he played a pivotal role in establishing the company as one of India’s leading solar project developers and clean energy innovators. Under his leadership, Mahindra Susten executed over 1,000 MW of solar capacity, contributing significantly to India’s renewable energy deployment.

Mr. Jain’s career also includes senior leadership roles at Vedanta Resources, the Mahindra Group, Hinduja Renewables, GVK Group, and Raymond, where he led business transformation initiatives, strategic planning, operations, and stakeholder management.
