Luminous Power Technologies has announced the appointment of Vivek Abrol as its new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Monday, January 19, 2026. Abrol succeeds Preeti Bajaj, who will be transitioning to Luminous’ parent company, Schneider Electric, to assume the role of Executive Vice President (EVP) and lead the company’s Global Home Solutions Division.
In his new role, Abrol is tasked with driving profitable growth across the Luminous portfolio with an emphasis on core inverter and battery markets, advancing the company’s broader evolution into an integrated consumer energy fulfilment platform, and accelerating the expansion of solar and sustainable energy solutions. His strategic priorities include fostering innovation, leading digital transformation, and establishing a high-performance, inclusive, future-ready organisation to enhance customer experience and operational excellence.
During her tenure at Luminous, Preeti Bajaj played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and solar business strategy, strengthening its position as a leading Fast Moving Energy Goods brand and transforming it into a trusted name in consumer energy fulfilment. Under her leadership, the company significantly expanded its solar portfolio and capabilities, accelerated the adoption of sustainable energy solutions, deepened its focus on customer‑centric innovation, and enhanced operational excellence across the organisation.

Abrol brings over 25 years of leadership experience across sectors including FMCG, stationery, and electricals, with a career spanning senior roles at ITC, Pidilite Industries, and RR Kabel.
