MNRE Adds 5,255 MW to ALMM List-I in November 2025

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has added 5,255 MW of new solar module capacity to the ALMM List-I in November 2025, bringing the total domestic capacity enlisted to 121,722 MW. The latest update introduces two new manufacturers—Sirius Solar Energy Systems (67 MW) and Jeem Energy (172 MW).

Several existing producers have also expanded their capacities. Avaada Electro recorded the largest increase, adding 2,798 MW from its Nagpur facility, raising its total ALMM-listed capacity to 8,220 MW across its Nagpur and Dadri plants. FS Green Energies (Future Solar) added 2,105 MW, taking its total to 5,001 MW, while Navitas Solar and Sova Solar increased their capacities by 42 MW and 71 MW, reaching 1,142 MW and 1,368 MW, respectively.

This follows MNRE’s previous update on October 13, 2025, which added 6,922 MW of additional module capacity. That round featured new entries such as Solitech Green Energy, Surana Solar, and the Suryanand Solar Cluster Association, along with major capacity expansions by Gautam Solar, Bluebird Solar, Goldi Solar, Rayzon Solar, Jakson Engineers, and Emmvee Energy.

The ALMM framework, introduced in 2021, ensures that only approved and compliant module manufacturers are eligible to participate in government-linked projects and tenders. The list is regularly updated to maintain high-quality standards across the sector.

Beyond modules, MNRE is also expanding the ALMM’s scope. Solar PV cells will be included under ALMM List-II from June 1, 2026. The list currently has 18,481 MW of enlisted capacity, following the addition of 602 MW of Mono PERC bifacial cell capacity by Websol Energy Systems in November 2025.

MNRE has additionally proposed ALMM List-III for solar wafers, expected to come into effect on June 1, 2028, contingent upon the commissioning of at least 15 GW of domestic wafer production capacity supported by equivalent ingot manufacturing facilities.
