Molicel Debuts INR‑21700‑M65A & P60B: Redefining Power for E‑Bikes & LEVs

The INR-21700-M65A and INR-21700-P60B, two state-of-the-art 21700 battery types from Molicel, a world pioneer in high-performance lithium-ion cells, are poised to transform the LEV (light electric vehicle) industry with unmatched power solutions. The INR-21700-M65A (6.5Ah) and the INR-21700-P60B have both made significant strides in the marketplace for the maximum energy density. Using e-bikes as an example, the INR-21700-M65A is perfect for a variety of e-bikes where more mileage is essential since the large capacity of the M Series is particularly made for extended range. The INR-21700-P60B, on the other hand, is designed for high-end MTBs (electric mountain bikes) that require maximum output and acceleration. The P Series, on the other hand, is built for power. Molicel offers a complete solution set to transform the whole e-bike and LEV industries with these two innovative products.

The Molicel INR-21700-M65A raises the bar for durability and power. Its 6500 mAh capacity ensures that city/urban bikes and e-motorcycles operate longer by increasing driving range by 30%. Its strong 26A discharge current and long operating durations are made possible by its high energy density of 325 Wh/kg. The M65A delivers a 40% increase in dependability after more than 1000 cycles, resulting in increased safety for applications such as e-scooters, e-skateboards, and 3-wheel electric recumbent bicycles, among other personal micromobility devices. This translates into safer, more dependable vehicle operation and noticeably longer battery life.

The Molicel INR-21700-P60B is designed to meet the high power and range requirements of MTBs, in addition to the INR-21700-M65A. For MTBs, cross bikes, and dirt bikes, its unparalleled 90A discharge current provides quick bursts, enabling smooth navigation of steep climbs and challenging terrain. With only a little increase in temperature, the INR-21700-P60B has a low internal resistance of 12.8 mΩ, a 14.7% improvement. Its exceptional 5C fast charging capabilities mean it takes only 13 minutes to be fully charged.

“The e-bike and overall LEV industry’s battery development has been slow, with minimal generational improvements. Molicel is changing this with two groundbreaking solutions, aiming to revolutionize these most used battery landscape and deliver an entirely new experience. We believe this will accelerate the whole LEV industry’s evolution, similar to recent advancements in electric vehicles,” stated Casey Shiue, President of Molicel. “The introduction of the INR-21700-P60B and INR-21700-M65A not only embodies our relentless pursuit of innovation but also sets new benchmarks for performance and endurance in the e-bike industry. This will empower both riders and manufacturers to experience unprecedented power and efficiency.”

Molicel’s technical leadership in both performance and safety powers our market-leading products. INR-21700-M65A and INR-21700- P60B bring unprecedented power and high capacity to LEVs, redefining the LEV market. Our core commitment to safety is evident in intensive R&D focused on thermal behavior, yielding cells with exceptionally low flammability. This blend of cutting-edge technology and uncompromising safety is why our technology makes us the best supplier, enabling us to achieve a rapid time to market with superior battery solutions.
