Montra Electric, the clean mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, has strengthened its presence in the National Capital Region (NCR) with the inauguration of two new electric vehicle dealerships—an electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) outlet in Libaspur, North Delhi, and an electric three-wheeler (e-3W) dealership in Surajpur, Greater Noida.
The expansion aligns with NCR’s emergence as one of India’s most active markets for electric commercial vehicles, driven by rising demand from urban logistics, shared mobility, and intra-city fleet operations.
Greater Noida e-3W Dealership Targets Last-Mile Mobility
The Greater Noida dealership is operated by Vigsons Automobiles and will address both last-mile passenger and cargo transportation needs. The outlet will retail Montra Electric’s Super Auto and Super Cargo models and is supported by dedicated service infrastructure and trained EV technicians. According to the company, this setup is aimed at ensuring faster service turnaround and higher vehicle uptime, which are critical for daily commercial operations.
North Delhi e-SCV Outlet Supports Urban Logistics
The North Delhi e-SCV dealership is operated by Action Volt Wheels, part of the Action Earth Movers Group. It will support businesses deploying electric SCVs for mid-mile and intra-city logistics, including applications such as e-commerce distribution, FMCG movement, and urban freight. The facility includes after-sales service and workshop infrastructure designed to meet the expectations of fleet operators.
Leadership Emphasises Ecosystem Development
Senior leaders from TI Clean Mobility attended the dealership inaugurations, including Arun Murugappan, Chairman, Montra Electric; Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director; Saju Nair, CEO – e-SCV; and Deependra Sharma, CEO – e-3W, highlighting NCR’s strategic importance in the company’s national expansion plans.
Commenting on the development, Arun Murugappan, Chairman, Montra Electric said, “The transition to electric commercial mobility is an institutional shift, not merely a product change. Its long-term success depends on building a strong and reliable ecosystem anchored in quality, service, and ownership confidence.”
Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director added, “Delhi-NCR is one of the most structurally important markets for electric commercial vehicles, where growth is driven by real operating use cases rather than experimentation.”
Montra Electric said the NCR expansion reflects its broader strategy of strengthening retail and service networks in regions witnessing deeper adoption of commercial EVs. With increasing deployments across last-mile and mid-mile segments, the company expects NCR to remain a key growth market in the coming years.
