Montra Electric Expands Retail Presence with New e-SCV Dealerships in Bhiwandi and Panvel

Montra Electric, a clean mobility division of the Murugappa Group, has increased its retail presence in India by launching two new electric Small Commercial Vehicle (e-SCV) dealerships in Bhiwandi and Panvel.

The new dealerships located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) will operate in association with retail partner Autobahn VoltiGo. The dealerships will sell the Montra Electric EViator, an e-SCV suitable for both intercity and intracity cargo transportation. The vehicle is designed to provide high efficiency, maximum uptime, and a low total cost of ownership for fleet and logistics operators.

Statements:

Saju Nair, CEO of Montra Electric e-SCV (TI Clean Mobility), commented, “The EViator is engineered to provide the power, range, and performance required to meet the real-world demands of India’s logistics sector. Through partnerships like Autobahn VoltiGo, we are ensuring that customers in major commercial hubs like Bhiwandi and Panvel have access to advanced, future-ready EV solutions, along with robust service and uptime support.”

Farzad, Managing Director of Autobahn Trucking Corporation, added, “At Autobahn, we are committed to moving our customers’ businesses forward through innovation, trust, and performance. Partnering with Montra Electric extends our mission into the clean mobility space. Having successfully launched Montra Electric in Kerala and Pune, we are now expanding into Mumbai with dealerships in Bhiwandi and Panvel, offering customers a seamless ownership experience that emphasizes accessibility, uptime, and service excellence.”

The EViator offers a certified range of 245 km and a real-world range of over 170 km. Powered by an 80 kW motor that provides 300 Nm of torque, it also features telematics to ensure over 95% uptime. The e-SCV comes with a seven-year or 250,000 km extended warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
