Neuron Energy, a company that makes advanced battery technology, has announced that it has deployed more than 10,000 lithium-ion batteries in commercial electric vehicles that are used a lot in India, in partnership with Rilox EV. The milestone shows how reliable, long-lasting, and effective Neuron’s battery systems are in tough fleet situations.
Over the last four years, Rilox EV has emerged as a focused commercial mobility OEM, deploying more than 10,000 electric vehicles supported by a nationwide dealer network of 75+ partners. The company’s two-wheeler and three-wheeler platforms serve the logistics, gig economy, and small and medium-sized business (SME) markets in India, where uptime and durability have a big impact on fleet economics.
Pratik Kamdar, CEO & Co-Founder, Neuron Energy, stated:
“This milestone is a strong validation of our battery technology on a commercial scale. Our focus has always been on delivering reliable, high-performance, and scalable solutions that enable EV manufacturers to grow confidently. The strengthened and exclusive phase of our partnership with Rilox EV reflects a shared long-term vision to accelerate clean mobility adoption while creating measurable environmental impact.”
The partnership strengthens Neuron Energy’s position as a provider of scalable battery solutions for commercial mobility. This is made possible by increasing manufacturing capacity to ensure consistent quality and supply. Rilox EV’s fleet is designed to run for a long time, and downtime directly affects revenue, so it needs to work well all the time. Neuron’s lithium-ion batteries provide steady power output, better thermal management, and long cycle life, all of which help operations run more smoothly and save money. The partnership also helps India’s move toward clean transportation by lowering emissions and raising the total cost of ownership and lifecycle value.
Asif Khalid, Chief Operating Officer, Rilox EV, added:
“Neuron Energy has been a critical technology partner in powering our vehicles with consistency and reliability. As we expand further across South India and additional high-growth markets, deeper integration with Neuron’s battery ecosystem will allow us to enhance lifecycle economics, improve fleet uptime, and introduce further innovations across our commercial EV platforms.”
Building on this milestone, both companies are formalising an exclusive long-term technology collaboration focused on advanced battery–vehicle integration, next-generation platforms, synchronised manufacturing planning, intelligent energy management, and fleet performance optimisation, aiming to set new benchmarks in India’s commercial EV sector.
