Pace Digitek Appoints Ketan Chitnis as COO of Lineage Power

Pace Digitek, a diversified provider of telecom power, energy, and renewable solutions, has appointed Ketan Chitnis as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its subsidiary Lineage Power, effective January 16, 2026. The move aims to strengthen Lineage Power’s operational capabilities and strategic execution across its expanding energy storage business.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the energy storage and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sector, Chitnis brings extensive industry expertise in building scalable operations and driving business transformation. His career includes key roles at L&T Energy (Greentech), Exide Leclanché Energy, Waaree Energies, and Base Corporation, in addition to 17 years of entrepreneurial leadership across technology and energy segments.

Chitnis holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Mumbai University and is a Fellow of the Institution of Valuers, underscoring his strong technical and professional credentials.

Expanded Leadership Role and Operational Focus

In his new role as COO, Chitnis will be responsible for leading several core functions across Lineage Power, including production, engineering, supply chain management, product-service operations, and business development. The company highlighted that his execution-oriented leadership and deep industry knowledge will be instrumental in driving excellence throughout the energy storage value chain.

A spokesperson for Pace Digitek said the appointment reflects the company’s ambition to build operational strength as Lineage Power scales up amid rising demand for energy storage solutions both domestically and internationally. His leadership is expected to support the company’s growth across telecom power systems, lithium-ion battery solutions, and integrated BESS deployments.

Strategic Growth in Energy Storage

Lineage Power, as the energy business arm of Pace Digitek, has been actively participating in key renewable and energy storage projects. The subsidiary has recently secured significant orders for BESS and other battery infrastructure from prominent clients, contributing to the company’s expanding project portfolio.

The broader Pace Digitek group continues to diversify its offerings across telecom infrastructure, renewable energy solutions, and ICT projects, strengthening its position in India’s rapidly evolving energy and communications landscape.

Chitnis’s appointment as COO comes at a time when energy storage technologies are gaining increased attention as part of India’s transition to cleaner energy systems and enhanced grid stability, underscoring the strategic importance of experienced leadership in this sector.
