Pahal Solar Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s fastest-growing solar energy manufacturers, took an important step towards India’s self-reliance in clean energy by holding the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for a new 2 GW solar cell factory and a new 2 GW aluminum frame factory in Surat.
This landmark investment represents a significant milestone in Pahal Solar’s drive for total vertical integration and advanced automation. The new factories will be equipped with AI-based precision and analytics systems designed to increase manufacturing efficiency, consistency, and product quality, thus creating benchmarks for India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
Currently, Pahal Solar has 2.4 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity, together with 2 GW of ribbon and busbar manufacturing capacity. The company is now making additional infrastructure investment to more than double its total installed capacity to 4.4 GW within the current financial year.
Addressing the event, Mr. Paresh Shingala, Chairman and Founder of Pahal Solar Pvt. Ltd., stated, “This investment not only strengthens our manufacturing capabilities but also demonstrates our long-term confidence in India’s renewable future and commitment to making the nation a global hub for solar innovation.”
Mr. Manish Shingala, Director, emphasized, “Our new facilities integrate AI-driven precision systems, ensuring world-class quality, accuracy, and performance aligned with international benchmarks.”
Highlighting the company’s business momentum, Mr. Nitin Barvaliya, Vice President, added, “Pahal Solar enjoys a strong order book and ongoing partnerships that consistently uphold reliability and timely delivery. This expansion further strengthens our promise to deliver high-performing solar solutions with speed, precision, and trust.”
The imminent 2 GW solar cell and one 2 GW aluminium frame manufacturing facility are expected to be fully commissioned by late 2026—an important milestone in India’s rapidly developing solar manufacturing sector, led by the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’
