RheEnergise, a trailblazing energy storage firm, announced that Republic, a top platform for private investment, will host its North American funding campaign. The initiative provides private investors with the chance to profit from the company’s expansion as it expands the use of its exclusive High-Density Hydro® energy storage systems throughout the US and Canada.
The missing, vital piece of the energy system puzzle:
High-Density Hydro, a cost-effective, long-duration energy storage system from RheEnergise, stores a lot of extremely cheap energy throughout the day and releases it to customers when demand and prices increase. When it’s most required, HD Hydro provides reasonably priced electricity in the mornings and evenings. The method has several advantages: it maintains low energy prices, provides developers with attractive returns, enhances grid resilience, and speeds up the transition to clean energy, therefore expanding access to inexpensive, clean energy.
“Our High-Density Hydro technology is a game-changer,” stated Stephen Crosher, CEO of RheEnergise. “It delivers the scale and flexibility the market desperately needs—between 20 and 100 megawatts per project, with up to 20 hours of storage. A typical 40 megawatt, 10 hour project would provide 32,000 typical US homes constantly for around 10 hours. With round-trip efficiencies exceeding 80%, it’s probably the most effective, scalable solution on the market. This fundraising campaign allows us to bring together many more everyday investors alongside the 4,000 from Europe, on our mission to revolutionize energy across North America.”
RheEnergise’s technology, in contrast to traditional pumped hydro, employs a unique fluid that is 2.5 times denser than water. This allows projects to be constructed closer to the energy needs and on tiny hills rather than mountains. This makes the technology suitable for both urban and rural applications by increasing site availability and lowering expenses.
The opportunities for HD Hydro are vast. Here are three example states:
- California: ~21,000 potential sites.
- New York: ~6,500 potential sites.
- Texas: ~6,250 potential sites.
About 250GWh of long-duration energy storage would be provided by just 500 plants in any state. For comparison, that would be more than sufficient to power the whole city of New York for the day.
RheEnergise’s North American growth, including project development, technology deployment, and key collaborations, will be accelerated with the support of funds raised via Republic.
“This is a pivotal moment,” attached Crosher. “With the demand for energy, grid pressures mounting and renewable adoption continuing to increase, North America needs scalable, proven, long-duration storage solutions. RheEnergise is here to meet that need.”
