Saatvik Green Energy Secures EPD Certification for N-TOPCON Bifacial G12R Solar Module

Saatvik Green Energy Limited’s N-TOPCON bifacial G12R solar module has received Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification. This is a big step forward in the company’s efforts to be more environmentally friendly. The company is now one of the few Indian solar manufacturers to publish independently verified EPDs under The International EPD System.

The certification is based on a thorough Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that was done according to the ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards. The test shows that Saatvik’s N-TOPCON bifacial G12R module has a low carbon footprint over its whole life when compared to EPD data for modern TOPCon solar modules that is available to the public.

Low Carbon Footprint and High Efficiency

The EPD measures the module’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle, starting from raw material extraction and manufacturing to installation, use, and final disposal. The N-TOPCON bifacial G12R module delivers a power output of up to 625 Wp and achieves an efficiency of 23.12%.

According to the published EPD, the module records a cradle-to-gate global warming potential of 0.379 kg CO₂-eq/Wp. This places it among the lower-emission solar modules in its category. The combination of high efficiency and reduced carbon footprint allows customers to maximize clean energy generation while meeting stricter sustainability and environmental reporting requirements.

The certification also makes the procurement process more open, especially since verified environmental performance data is becoming more important in global markets.

Leadership in Sustainable Manufacturing

Commenting on the achievement, Prashant Mathur, Chief Executive Officer of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said, “Securing EPD certification reinforces our commitment to transparency and responsible manufacturing. By offering independently verified environmental data, we enable our customers and partners to make informed decisions aligned with global sustainability benchmarks. This certification demonstrates that advanced solar technology and low-carbon manufacturing can go hand in hand, reflecting our manufacturing excellence and India’s growing leadership in sustainable energy solutions.”

The certification highlights Saatvik’s focus on combining advanced solar technology with responsible and low-carbon manufacturing practices.
