In a major boost to the state’s clean energy and industrial growth, New Delhi-based renewable energy firm SAEL Industries Limited has announced investments worth Rs 22,000 crore across multiple sectors, including renewable energy, biomass, data centers, and port development. The projects are expected to generate 7,000 direct and 70,000 indirect jobs, significantly contributing to Andhra Pradesh’s employment and economic development.

The investment agreement is expected to be signed during the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, scheduled for November 14 and 15, 2025.

Project Scope and Highlights:

  • Utility-Scale Solar and BESS Projects: Seven solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects totaling 1,750 MW are proposed across Kadapa and Kurnool districts, linked to NHPC and SECI tenders to provide round-the-clock renewable power for industries and data centers.
  • Biomass-Based Power: A 200 MW biomass program, comprising eight 25 MW plants, is planned to promote agricultural residue value chains and create rural employment.
  • Data Center Development: A Rs 3,000 crore hyperscale-ready data center will leverage the state’s digital infrastructure.
  • Port-Linked Infrastructure: A Rs 4,000 crore port development initiative is planned to enhance maritime logistics and boost export competitiveness.

SAEL Industries has already demonstrated strong execution capabilities by commissioning 600 MW of capacity within nine months, reflecting the company’s operational expertise and commitment to scaling up under the new MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government.

Commenting on the announcement, Minister Nara Lokesh said, “I’m delighted that SAEL Industries will be investing Rs 22,000 crore in AP. As one of the first projects commissioned under the state government’s integrated clean energy policy, SAEL has demonstrated excellent execution expertise.”

This multi-sector investment pipeline aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s vision for industrial growth, clean energy adoption, and enhanced infrastructure efficiency.

SAEL Industries is a leading player in renewable energy with an expanding presence in data and port-linked infrastructure. The company continues to focus on sustainable, large-scale projects that drive industrial development and social impact across India.
