The Green Ammonia program has marked another stride with the successful completion of SECI’s 11th auction under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A). A tariff of ₹64.74/kg has been discovered for a supply of 20,000 TPA to Indorama India Pvt. Ltd. (IIPL), Haldia, West Bengal.
It congratulates M/s Acme Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for emerging as the successful bidder, and sincere acknowledgment to IIPL Haldia for their support and partnership in advancing this clean energy journey.
This month of August has been a defining one: across different geographies, auction after auction has brought price discoveries, covering both ends of the discovered price range. Together, they form a spectrum that mirrors India’s diversity of conditions, yet underlines a single truth: the will to adopt green molecules is strong, and the ecosystem is deepening.
As the company moves closer to the culmination of the 13 auctions, the picture of India’s Green Ammonia market is becoming clearer. These discoveries are not just numbers; they are a testament to India’s determination to safeguard the planet, protect its resources, and accelerate the path to a sustainable future.
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) is a CPSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), set up on 20th September 2011 to facilitate the implementation of NSM and achievement of targets set therein. It is the only CPSU dedicated to the solar energy sector.
However, through a Government of India decision, the company has recently been converted into a Section-3 company under the Companies Act, 2013. The mandate of the company has also been broadened to cover the entire renewable energy domain.
