Shakti Pumps Wins ₹356.77 Cr MSEDCL Order for 12,883 Solar Pumps

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has received a major order worth ₹356.77 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply of 12,883 solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra. The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The order has been awarded under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme and involves the supply of off-grid DC solar pump systems in  3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP configurations. The project is scheduled to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or notice to proceed, further strengthening Shakti Pumps’ solar pump business and overall order book.

This latest contract is part of a strong order inflow for the company, which has secured nearly ₹900 crore worth of new orders over the past 15 days. The recent wins include a letter of empanelment from MSEDCL for 16,025 SPWPS valued at ₹443.78 crore, along with additional orders from Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and other states, reflecting robust demand visibility and a healthy pipeline of opportunities across multiple regions.

Commenting on the order wins, Dinesh Patidar, Chairman, Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd., said, “The recent series of large orders, including this ₹356.77 crore order reflects strong demand momentum and validates our execution capabilities. These wins significantly strengthen our order book and provide clear revenue visibility. With a robust order book and a healthy pipeline, we remain confident of delivering strong performance and creating long-term value for our shareholders.”

The company’s execution capabilities were further highlighted by its contribution to Maharashtra’s Guinness World Record achievement, where 8,846 SPWPS were installed in a single month as part of the state’s deployment of 45,911 solar water pumps, one of the fastest and largest renewable irrigation rollouts globally.

The order reinforces Shakti Pumps’ leadership in the solar pump market and underlines the growing adoption of solar-powered irrigation solutions under government-supported renewable energy programmes.
