Solex Energy Limited Signs MoU with TT Vision Holdings Berhad to Advance Solar Manufacturing Automation in India

Solex Energy Limited, a leading Indian solar manufacturer, has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia-based automation technology company TT Vision Holdings Berhad. The collaboration aims to advance solar manufacturing automation, engineering excellence, and talent development in India.

The partnership combines Solex’s nearly three decades of experience in solar manufacturing with TT Vision’s expertise in automation, inspection systems, and advanced equipment technologies. Together, the two companies plan to strengthen India’s rapidly growing renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem.

Under the MoU, TT Vision will provide specialised technical training to Solex engineers at its Penang facility in Malaysia, as well as at its upcoming operations in India. The training will focus on automation, solar inspection systems, process equipment, and global manufacturing best practices. Solex will gain preferential access to TT Vision’s automation technologies to support research and development (R&D), new product introduction (NPI), and process optimisation initiatives, while also serving as a preferred partner for the rollout of TT Vision’s future automation solutions.

TT Vision will also support Solex through consulting in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving, enabling operational excellence during capacity expansion. In parallel, Solex will assist TT Vision’s India market entry by providing guidance on manufacturing setup, supply chain alignment, and government engagement.

The MoU is valid for an initial term of 36 months and does not create any legal or financial obligations. Both parties will retain ownership of their respective intellectual property, with any jointly developed technologies to be governed through future definitive agreements.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dr. Chetan Shah, Chairman and Managing Director, Solex Energy Limited, said, “This partnership marks a significant milestone for Solex as we prepare for the next stage of growth driven by automation, innovation, and world-class engineering talent. TT Vision’s strengths in solar automation and inspection technology complement our vision of building a globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem in India. Together, we aim to accelerate advancements that support the country’s clean energy goals and elevate the standards of solar manufacturing.”

Goon Koon Yin, CEO and Spokesperson, TT Vision Holdings Berhad, added, “Our collaboration with Solex comes at a pivotal time as India emerges as a global solar manufacturing hub. Solex’s industry leadership, strong reputation, and commitment to quality make them an ideal partner for TT Vision. We look forward to co-developing advanced technologies, supporting skill development, and contributing meaningfully to India’s renewable energy journey.”
