Solidion Technology, Inc., in partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), has announced that their joint innovation, Electrochemical Graphitization in Molten Salts (E-GRIMS), has received a prestigious 2025 R&D 100 Award.
The E-GRIMS technology introduces a game-changing approach to the graphitization process, enabling energy-efficient, scalable, and environmentally sustainable production of graphite anode materials. This breakthrough has the potential to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of lithium-ion battery manufacturing while ensuring performance that meets the demands of next-generation energy storage applications.
