    Sungrow Introduces iSolarBPS, the AI-Powered Future of Energy Storage System Safety

    Safety has emerged as a key concern for the energy storage sector as Europe’s capacity keeps growing. Sungrow showcased their next-generation battery pre-diagnosis system, iSolarBPS, at the previous Intersolar Europe. This system uses AI technology to redefine energy storage system (ESS) safety management and speed up Europe’s energy transition.

    iSolarBPS is a cutting-edge safety management platform that combines artificial intelligence, electrochemistry, and power electronics. The GeneSafe algorithm cluster and Sungrow’s own ESS smart cell large model power the system, which allows for intelligent, fine-grained diagnostics at the cell and system levels. It ensures that any risks are identified, addressed, and resolved proactively by providing proactive alerts up to seven days in advance, accurately locating defects, and increasing O&M efficiency by thirty percent.

    Five-Dimensional Diagnosis: Real-Time Diagnostics for Every Cell

    Five primary dimensions are used by iSolarBPS to assess battery health: behavior analysis, fault warnings, atypical aging, data quality, and risk prediction. With the help of more than 50 indicators, including internal resistance, internal short circuits, and consistency in voltage and temperature, it offers real-time diagnostics for the whole storage facility, giving complete insight into the condition of every cell. For a 100 MWh plant, operators can schedule automated scans or do manual diagnostics instantaneously. Complete reports are produced in less than a minute.

    Three-Tier Early Warning: Up to 7 Days Advance Notice

    With seven-day advance warnings for voltage irregularities and abnormal battery aging, 100-hour pre-alerts for internal short circuits (which direct timely pack replacement), and one-hour prior detection of thermal runaway risks, iSolarBPS provides multi-stage risk prevention. This allows for immediate maintenance to remove fire hazards as soon as possible.

    Five-Level Fault Localization: 30% Higher O&M Efficiency

    By identifying issues at the system, cabinet, rack, pack, and cell levels, iSolarBPS makes intelligent repair recommendations. It increases O&M efficiency by 30% as compared to manual troubleshooting, opening the door for autonomous ESS maintenance.

    In addition to diagnostics, iSolarBPS is a turnkey solution that works with both new and old storage facilities. iSolarBPS, which is certified to IEC62443 and other international safety standards, guarantees asset security and data privacy for users anywhere.
