Sunwoda Delivers One-Millionth 684Ah Stacked Energy Storage Cell

Sunwoda has announced the successful production and delivery of its one-millionth 684Ah stacked energy storage cell, marking a significant milestone in the large-scale commercialization of high-capacity energy storage technology and reinforcing the company’s position in the global energy storage market. The achievement highlights Sunwoda’s rapid manufacturing scale-up and demonstrates that large-capacity stacked energy storage cells have entered a stable and mature phase of mass production, providing a strong foundation for the widespread deployment of next-generation energy storage solutions worldwide.

Since the 684Ah stacked energy storage cell entered mass production in September, Sunwoda has achieved a cumulative output of one million units within just three months. This rapid production ramp-up indicates that large-capacity stacked energy storage cells have entered a stable and mature phase of scalable manufacturing, demonstrating the company’s manufacturing maturity and supply chain readiness.

The 684Ah cell adopts advanced flash stacking battery technology, enabling an energy density exceeding 440 Wh/L. Since its market introduction, the product has demonstrated Sunwoda’s technical strength in large-capacity energy storage cells, supporting industry development toward higher safety standards, greater system efficiency, and improved lifecycle value at the energy storage system level.

The delivery of the one-millionth cell further strengthens Sunwoda’s leadership in energy storage cells and establishes a solid foundation for long-term, large-scales deployment across global markets. Through early and sustained strategic investment in stacked-cell manufacturing processes, Sunwoda has built a comprehensive end-to-end manufacturing system, encompassing product design, process verification, and high-volume production. This integrated approach ensures high product uniformity, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency, providing dependable supply capabilities for next-generation energy storage solutions.

Commenting on the milestone, a Sunwoda spokesperson said the company remains guided by its commitment to “crafting every battery with care.” The spokesperson added that Sunwoda will continue to advance energy storage cell research and development, while further strengthening manufacturing excellence and delivery capabilities to meet growing global demand.

“By deepening technological innovation and expanding large-scale manufacturing capacity, Sunwoda will work closely with industry partners to support the high-quality and sustainable development of the global energy transition,” the spokesperson said.
