Tigo Energy Debuts GO Optimized ESS and Expands Support in Puerto Rico at Energy 2025

Tigo Energy, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent solar and energy software solutions, has announced the Company’s upcoming presence at the Energy 2025 tradeshow at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In addition to releasing the Tigo GO Optimized Energy Storage System (ESS) to the Puerto Rican market, Tigo will showcase enhanced energy production through Reclaimed Energy with Tigo TS4 MLPE optimization, as well as announce expanded customer support infrastructure on the island.

Featuring high density and high surge power, with up to six modular 5kWh-incremented building blocks, the Tigo GO Optimized ESS provides up to 30kWh per enclosure and delivers a continuous output of 11.4kW, with a surge capacity of up to 18kW for whole-home backup. An advanced Battery Management Unit (BMU) automates battery discovery to help streamline the setup process and delivers net-metering functions, such as forced discharge. Certified for UL9540A, GO Battery enclosures can be either floor or wall-mounted and offer best-in-class installation options for maximum space savings. When combined with the Tigo Inverter and ATS, GO Optimized ESS can be charged from solar, the grid, a generator, or a configurable combination thereof.

“We are seeing demand for solar in combination with storage grow constantly, and our preference for Tigo comes from the fact that the systems are very simple to install and commission,” said Miguel Rivera, owner at Alternative Energy. “We’re impressed with how reliable the products are, how responsive the technical support team is, and how the design and ease-of-use make the systems appealing both for installers and for customers in Puerto Rico.”

“To offset the issues around energy costs as well as intermittent grid instability, our customers in Puerto Rico can add more solar performance with Tigo optimization, and more energy resilience with Tigo battery storage, and both messages resonate,” said Samuel Berrios, owner at Del Centro Solar. “Tigo’s solutions help us install faster, support larger storage systems for multi-day outages, and provide responsive technical support that keeps our customers satisfied and drives energy independence for the island.”

Enhanced regional support for the Puerto Rican market will be achieved through collaboration with RR^2 Electrical & Engineering Solutions. This local installation firm will provide in-market installer support for Tigo products. Tigo also provides installers with a comprehensive Spanish-language solar and storage curriculum via the Tigo Academy. Also being expanded in Puerto Rico is the Tigo Green Glove service program, designed to deliver a premium support experience that enriches the installer journey from design to commissioning and beyond. Since the program launched, installers across Puerto Rico have taken advantage of the Green Glove program for both residential and commercial solar installations to help secure better outcomes for end customers. Tigo installer support is part of the Company’s commitment to Total Quality Solar.

“We are very excited about not only bringing our customers the latest solar technology from Tigo, but also about collaborating with Tigo to help installers in Puerto Rico deploy more solar,” said Roberto Rojas, co-owner of RR^2 Electrical & Engineering Solutions. “Tigo’s responsive support has set a new standard on the island, and we are proud to be building local capacity to serve as a resource for fellow installers.”

“Installers in Puerto Rico are embracing Tigo products with ever more enthusiasm, with battery product attach rates on the island averaging two units per site,” said Jing Tian, chief growth and revenue officer at Tigo Energy. “Our response to being embraced by these installers is expanding our battery offering, improving system production through optimization, and taking our customer support infrastructure to the next level. I look forward to meeting with our leading installers and business partners in Puerto Rico at the Energy 2025 event.”
