Vayona Energy Secures First Wind Project in India

Vayona Energy has started doing business in India by signing its first contract with Oyster Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. to provide wind turbines for a 64.8 MW project in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. This deal is a big step forward for Vayona Energy’s growth in India since it bought the company from Siemens Gamesa.

Project Scope and Technology

Vayona Energy will deliver 18 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines, totaling 64.8 MW of installed capacity. The contract also includes a long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement, supporting Oyster Renewable’s growth in southern India.

Prashant Jain, Executive Vice Chairman, Vayona Energy, said:
“This order strengthens the confidence our customers have in our products and capabilities. Our commitment to India is strong, and we are ready to meet diverse renewable energy needs with innovative solutions.”

Siddharth Bhatia, Managing Director, Oyster Renewable Energy, added:
“This project is our first and largest in Andhra Pradesh. Vayona Energy’s advanced 3.6 MW turbines were the perfect choice for the region. This partnership supports Make in India while delivering high-performance, sustainable power to our clients.”

Manufacturing and Delivery

Key turbine components will be manufactured and assembled at Vayona Energy’s Mamandur facility near Chennai. Supply is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026.

Since launching its 3X platform in India, Vayona Energy has received orders exceeding 3.6 GW, with over 2 GW already installed by December 2025, showing strong market confidence in the company’s technology and execution.

About the Companies

Vayona Energy Pvt. Ltd. is a wind turbine original equipment manufacturer with operations across India and South Asia. The company has over 12 GW of operational and development assets. It was formed in December 2025 from Siemens Gamesa’s former onshore wind business and is backed by TPG, MAVCO Investments, and Prashant Jain, with ongoing collaboration with Siemens Energy.

Oyster Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. develops and operates hybrid renewable energy projects across India, primarily serving commercial and industrial clients with solar and wind solutions to ensure reliable, sustainable power and reduce carbon emissions.
