Vikran Engineering Secures ₹2,035 Crore EPC Order for 600 MW Solar Projects in Maharashtra

Multi-sectorEPC company Vikran Engineering Limited (VEL) has announced that it has secured a major work order worth ₹2,035.26 crore from Onix Renewables Limited to develop 600 MW AC solar power projects across multiple locations in Maharashtra. The order, finalized on December 23, 2025, marks one of the largest single EPC orders in the company’s history, underscoring the growing demand for renewable energy in India.

The projects will be executed on a turnkey EPC basis, covering the entire lifecycle from design, engineering, and procurement to supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. The scope of work also includes supplying critical components such as solar PV modules and inverters. The company has committed to completing the projects within a 12-month timeline, reflecting its focus on timely, high-quality delivery.

Commenting on the development, Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikran Engineering, said: “This order marks an important milestone for Vikran Engineering and reflects the strong momentum we are witnessing in our renewable energy EPC business. It is a clear vote of confidence in our engineering depth, project management capabilities, and ability to deliver large-scale solar projects with speed and quality. This win meaningfully strengthens our order book and positions us well for sustained growth, as we continue to support India’s clean energy ambitions through reliable, timely, and sustainable infrastructure development.”

The new order significantly enhances Vikran Engineering’s renewable energy portfolio and complements its established presence across power transmission and distribution, water infrastructure, and railway electrification. The company’s strategic focus on renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure aligns with India’s push for clean, reliable energy solutions, positioning Vikran Engineering as a trusted partner in the nation’s energy transition.

With this project, Vikran Engineering aims to expand its participation in large, complex infrastructure projects while maintaining high standards of execution and delivery. The successful completion of these 600 MW solar projects will contribute to India’s renewable energy targets and reinforce the company’s leadership in the country’s solar EPC sector.
