VinFast India Names Sudhanshu Talwar Deputy CEO – Sales & Network

VinFast India Pvt. Ltd., the global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has appointed Sudhanshu Talwar as Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Sales & Network, as the company expands its sales and distribution presence across India. With over 20 years of professional experience in the automobile industry, Talwar brings a wealth of expertise spanning passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and small commercial vehicles, covering both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle platforms, as well as diverse geographies and business models.

In his new role, Talwar will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling VinFast India’s sales infrastructure and nationwide network. His mandate includes go-to-market execution, channel development, and network expansion, supporting VinFast’s objective of achieving sustained growth in India’s rapidly evolving EV market. The appointment underscores the company’s transition from market-entry planning to execution-driven scale-up, focusing on operational readiness and a structured rollout of EV adoption across the country.

Throughout his career, Sudhanshu Talwar has held leadership positions in sales, distribution, OEM engagement, and market execution. He has worked with leading automotive OEMs, including Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors Ltd., Piaggio Vehicles, and Hero Honda Motors Ltd., where he oversaw large regional and zonal operations, driving dealer network expansion and distribution efficiency.

Talwar has also been actively involved in the electric mobility and automotive technology space, serving in leadership roles at Altigreen Propulsion Labs and Intangles Lab Pvt. Ltd., where he collaborated closely with OEMs and enterprise stakeholders, gaining valuable experience in the technology-enabled EV ecosystem.

His appointment adds execution depth and strategic perspective to VinFast India’s leadership team, reinforcing the company’s commitment to building a robust national sales and distribution network, disciplined go-to-market rollout, and operational excellence. With his combined experience across traditional automotive, EVs, and technology-led platforms, Talwar is expected to play a pivotal role in scaling VinFast’s business in India and supporting the company’s ambition to establish a strong foothold in the competitive Indian EV market.

This strategic leadership addition comes as VinFast accelerates its plans to expand its EV portfolio, strengthen dealer networks, and enhance customer engagement across India, signaling its commitment to long-term growth and market leadership in the Indian electric mobility sector.
