Yuma Energy Launches Battery Swapping Services in Noida

With aspirations to build a network of electric 2- and 3-wheeler battery switching stations over the next three years, Yuma Energy has made its debut in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The organization wants to grow into key Uttar Pradesh cities like Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, and Lucknow. Yuma Energy has committed to investing ₹200 crore in the state as part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Invest UP in order to support this expansion. Up to 100,000 people’s lives are anticipated to be supported and 500 direct jobs will be created by this project.

Yuma Energy currently replaces about 1.5 million batteries every month throughout India. With a change duration of about a minute, the company’s battery swapping services will offer a speedy substitute for conventional charging.

Due to its advantageous policy environment, Uttar Pradesh is a leader in e-mobility, especially in the 3-wheeler market, according to Muthu Subramanian, General Manager and Managing Director of Yuma Energy.

INVEST UP’s Additional Chief Executive Officer, Prathamesh Kumar, praised Yuma Energy’s initiative and pointed out how it may help the state’s EV infrastructure and sustainable development objectives. He concentrated on how INVEST UP helps businesses negotiate regulatory environments for more seamless service launches.

Additionally, Subramanian pointed out that the Noida launch meets the need for energy solutions in a place where EV adoption is accelerating. The Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) system from Yuma Energy is intended to increase vehicle longevity and safety by utilizing smart batteries and a networked system. The goal of the effective operations is to guarantee that batteries are easily accessible so that users can swiftly switch them out and resume their activities.
