ZELIO E Mobility Unveils Facelifted Gracy and New Low-Speed Electric Scooter. Offering six battery options to fit various urban commuting needs. The company has also set the scooter starting price at 58,000 ex-showroom.
This new and improved Gracy+ model has better ground clearance i.e. 185mm whereas has a range of 130 kilometers on a fully charged battery. The scooter has a choice of two lithium-ion batteries and four gel batteries, costing between 54,000 (541 US dollars) and 69,500 (695 US dollars).
The lithium-ion ones are the 60V/30AH at 65,000 rupees with a 110 km range and the 74V/32AH at 69,500 rupees, providing 130 km of travel. Its gel battery variants begin with a 60V/32AH specimen priced at 54,000 (80-km) and go up to 72V/42AH priced at 61,000 (130-km).
As stated by the company, the scooter can attain its maximum speed of 25 km/h and is equipped with a high-performance 60/72V BLDC motor, which consumes 1.8 units of electricity to fully charge. The gross weight of the vehicle is 88kg with a potential payload of 150kg. Depending on the type of battery, they can take between four hours (with lithium-ion ones) and 8-12 hours (gel battery).
It has safety features such as drum brakes in the front wheel and disc brakes in the rear with 90/90/12 front tires and 90/100/10 rear tires. The scooter has a hydraulic shock absorber, and readings are with a digital display, daytime LED, keyless drive, theft-protection alarm, parking gear, and USB charging port, as well as a passenger footboard. There are white, grey, black and blue color options.
Kunal Arya, Co-Founder, and Managing Director of ZELIO E Mobility, explained that the Gracy+ is what the company thought of with respect to offering electric mobility to the urban segment of India at a price that everyone would find affordable, with quality and rider experience being at par with the standards.
The company offers a two-year warranty on the vehicle, where the lithium-ion battery version will offer a three-year warranty and the gel battery version one year. ZELIO E Mobility was established in 2021 with more than 200,000 riders, and it works in excess of 400 dealerships. The company targets to have a thousand dealerships by 2025.
The release arrives as the electric two-wheeler market in India keeps expanding, and market leaders are looking at lower-end choices that will suit the commuters, students, and delivery workers in the cities who need adequate transportation at a low cost.
