ACME Solar Holdings has named KR Thiyagarajan as its President, EPC. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all renewable-energy projects, focusing on cost optimization, technology integration, and ensuring delivery excellence. The company has set an ambitious target of achieving 10 gigawatts of contracted operational capacity by 2030.
Thiyagarajan brings over 35 years of experience in the power sector, covering solar PV, battery energy storage systems, high-voltage transmission and distribution, and thermal power. Throughout his career, he has managed large-scale renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning and successfully delivered multi-gigawatt portfolios across India.
Prior to joining ACME Solar, Thiyagarajan held senior leadership positions at several leading energy companies, including Reliance Industries (New Energy), Tata Power Solar, Avaada Power, and Welspun Energy. His expertise spans project and contract management, techno-commercial planning, bid and tender handling, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and building high-performance teams.
Under his leadership, ACME Solar plans to accelerate project execution, optimize costs, and integrate advanced technologies as it pursues its 10-gigawatt target. This appointment highlights ACME Solar’s commitment to strengthening its execution capabilities amid strong demand for renewable energy.
