ACME Solar Commissions Phase II of 38 MW / 82 MWh BESS Project in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Limited (formerly ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited) has successfully commissioned the second phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan. The project, executed through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, adds 38 MW / 82 MWh of storage capacity to ACME Solar’s existing BESS portfolio of 285 MW / 600 MWh, located at Sanwara and Mehar Nagar villages in Pokhran, Jaisalmer district.

Expanding Grid-Scale Energy Storage

The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for Phase II has been set as March 5, 2026, marking an important milestone in India’s expanding renewable energy and energy storage sector. This addition strengthens grid stability in the region and supports the integration of renewable energy sources, contributing to ACME Solar’s vision of delivering innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

Rajesh Sodhi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at ACME Solar Holdings, stated, “The successful commissioning of Phase II reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions across India. This BESS facility will play a key role in optimizing renewable energy integration in Rajasthan.”

Strategic Role in India’s Renewable Energy Growth

Phase II of the BESS project highlights Rajasthan’s emergence as a hub for renewable energy development, particularly in large-scale solar and storage infrastructure. By expanding storage capacity, ACME Solar ensures that excess electricity generated from renewable sources can be efficiently stored and dispatched when demand rises, improving grid reliability and energy management.

Commitment to Sustainability and Community Development

ACME Solar Holdings Limited continues to lead the industry in large-scale solar and energy storage initiatives, contributing to India’s renewable energy targets while supporting sustainable development in local communities. The BESS project not only enhances operational efficiency but also advances the country’s broader objectives of reducing carbon emissions and promoting clean energy adoption.

With this milestone, ACME Solar reinforces its position as a pioneer in India’s energy storage sector, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strengthening the nation’s renewable energy infrastructure.

This project reflects ACME Solar’s strategy of integrating cutting-edge storage solutions with solar generation, ensuring long-term reliability, optimized energy dispatch, and meaningful contributions to India’s clean energy transition.
