Anupam Kumar Appointed as Joint Secretary in MNRE for Five-Year Tenure

Anupam Kumar has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for a tenure of five years. The appointment marks an important administrative development within the ministry, which is responsible for driving India’s renewable energy initiatives and policy framework.

2003 Batch IAS Officer of Bihar Cadre

Anupam Kumar is a 2003 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer belonging to the Bihar cadre. Over the years, he has built a strong foundation in governance and public administration through his service in various roles within the state.

Vast Experience in Administration and Governance

He has held a number of important positions in different departments over the course of his career, where he has been involved in putting policies into action, managing the administration, and providing public services. He has a lot of experience with governance systems and how institutions work, which makes him a good fit for a senior position at the central level.

Academic Credentials in Science

Anupam Kumar holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics from Lucknow University. He secured first division in both degrees, highlighting a strong academic background that complements his analytical approach to administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities in MNRE

He will be in charge of important policy issues, running the ministry’s day-to-day operations, and helping to put renewable energy programs into action as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
