Ather Energy Appoints Surabhi Loshali as Chief Human Resources Officer

Ather Energy Appoints Surabhi Loshali as Chief Human Resources Officer

Ather Energy Limited has appointed Surabhi Loshali as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Management Personnel, effective 5 January 2026, following approval from the company’s board of directors.

The appointment was approved through a circular resolution based on the recommendation of Ather Energy’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the company said in a regulatory disclosure filed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Loshali brings over two decades of experience in human resources leadership, with expertise spanning people strategy, talent management, organisation development, large-scale transformation, people analytics, and culture building. Her professional background includes roles across pharmaceuticals, life sciences, manufacturing, technology, and financial services. Most recently, she served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Strides Pharma Science Limited, where she led people and culture initiatives across multiple geographies.

In her new role at Ather Energy, Loshali will oversee the company’s end-to-end HR and administrative functions, including talent acquisition, leadership development, organisation design, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, HR technology, and people analytics. Her mandate comes at a time when India’s electric vehicle sector is scaling rapidly, intensifying competition for specialised talent across engineering, manufacturing, and digital roles.

Commenting on the appointment, Tarun Mehta, Executive Director and CEO, Ather Energy, said, “At Ather, we’ve always believed that building great products starts with building great teams. As we scale across products, markets, and capabilities, staying focused on long-term organisation building becomes critical. Surabhi brings deep experience in building strong, future-ready people systems while staying true to culture and values, and will be critical as we continue to build Ather for the long term.”

Speaking on her appointment, Surabhi Loshali, Chief Human Resources Officer at Ather Energy Limited said, “I am excited to join Ather at a stage where the organisation’s culture and ways of working are a key part of its growth story. My focus will be on strengthening leadership depth, future-ready skills, and people systems that grow with the business, while protecting the culture that makes Ather unique.”

Loshali holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Polymer Science and Chemical Technology from Delhi College of Engineering. She has received multiple industry recognitions, including the Top HR Icon Award 2025 from the World HRD Congress and Women Leader of the Year 2024 at the Women Empowerment Summit.

Ather Energy stated that it has completed all required regulatory disclosures related to the appointment. As the company enters its next phase of growth, Loshali’s role is expected to focus on organisational design, leadership capability, and workforce readiness, supporting Ather Energy’s expansion amid rapid technological change and evolving consumer demand in the electric mobility sector.
