Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra Concludes After 36-Day Nationwide Sustainability Drive

Avaada Group, one of India’s leading integrated energy transition conglomerates, marked the successful culmination of the Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra, a first-of-its-kind nationwide movement aimed at fostering greater public participation in India’s clean energy transition and sustainable development journey. The concluding ceremony was graced by Shri C. R. Patil, the Honourable Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Shri Kishor Nair, CEO, Avaada Energy, felicitated the Hon’ble Minister during the event.

Organised by Avaada Group, the Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra was launched to take the conversation on sustainability and clean energy beyond boardrooms and policy forums and directly to citizens across India. Over the course of its 36-day journey, the initiative traversed 10 states and 27 cities, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Odisha. The Yatra emerged as a powerful platform for bringing conversations around sustainability, renewable energy and climate responsibility directly to communities across India, engaging citizens, students, institutions and stakeholders through meaningful dialogue and grassroots outreach.

Addressing the gathering, Shri C. R. Patil, the honourable Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Government of India, said, “India’s journey towards sustainable development requires active participation from every citizen. While the Government, under the able leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, is implementing transformative initiatives in the form of the PM-KUSUM yojana, PM Surya Ghar for renewable energy adoption, lasting impact can only be achieved when these efforts become a people’s movement. I would like to congratulate Mr Vineet Mittal and his team at Avaada for the successful completion of the ‘Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra’ that has taken the message of sustainability directly to communities across the country and inspired citizens to become stakeholders in India’s green future. Such collective action will play a crucial role in building a resilient, self-reliant and environmentally secure India.”

Commenting on the successful completion of the Yatra, Shri Vineet Mittal, Chairman, Avaada Group, said, “The Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra began as an awareness initiative; it evolved into a nationwide movement that connected citizens with India’s clean energy future. Across geographies and age groups, we witnessed a growing willingness among citizens to participate in India’s sustainability journey. The overwhelming response reinforces our belief that India’s energy transition will be most impactful when it is driven not only by policy and technology but also by active citizen participation. As India advances towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, initiatives such as these will play an important role in creating awareness, inspiring action and transforming sustainability into a shared national responsibility.”

“Avaada Group’s commitment to ‘Always Clean, Always On’ reflects our readiness to serve as the energy backbone of India’s growth through an integrated portfolio of solar, wind, hybrid energy systems, pumped hydro and battery storage solutions. Together, these technologies will enable a sustainable, reliable and scalable energy ecosystem that powers India’s aspirations while safeguarding the planet for future generations,” Mr Mittal added.

Throughout its journey, the Yatra served as a platform for dialogue, awareness and community engagement. Through Nukkad Nataks (street plays), interactive awareness sessions and myth-busting engagements on renewable energy, it simplified complex clean energy concepts, addressed common misconceptions and encouraged citizens to adopt sustainable practices. The overwhelming participation witnessed across the journey demonstrated growing public interest in sustainability and reinforced the importance of citizen engagement in India’s energy transition.

The Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra carried a simple message: India’s energy transition cannot be driven by technology and policy alone; it requires active citizen participation. By taking this message directly to communities across the country, the initiative encouraged people to become partners in India’s clean energy journey.

As India advances towards a low-carbon future, Avaada Group remains committed to supporting the nation’s sustainability ambitions through renewable energy, solar manufacturing, green hydrogen and its derivatives, energy storage solutions and community-driven initiatives.

Avaada Group currently has a renewable energy portfolio surpassing 17.7 GWp, including over 7.2 GWp of operational capacity and approximately 10.5 GWp under construction. The Group’s businesses span renewable power generation, solar PV manufacturing, green hydrogen and its derivatives, green data centres, pumped storage projects and energy storage solutions.

Avaada Group is a diversified clean energy conglomerate driving the energy transition across Renewable Power Generation, Solar PV Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen and Derivatives, Battery Storage, Pumped Hydro Projects, and Green Data Centres. With innovation and sustainability at its core, Avaada is powering the industries of tomorrow with solutions that are Always Clean, Always On.
