Azure Power Appoints Solar Industry Veteran Satish Pandey as AVP – Engineering & Performance

Azure Power has announced the strategic appointment of Satish Pandey as Assistant Vice President – Engineering & Performance. A highly distinguished professional in the renewable energy sector, Mr. Pandey brings over 18 years of diverse expertise to the Gurgaon-based leadership team.

Mr. Satish Pandey, a professional with extensive experience in Solar PV technology, has an M.Tech degree in Instrumentation and an M.Sc degree in Physics (both being Gold Medalists in their respective fields) and possesses 18 years of diversified experience in BESS/ESS systems’ design, Solar PV module strategy, PV technology innovations, performance analysis of PV plants, design & engineering of utility-scale Solar PV plants, technical due diligence of solar plants, R&D, process engineering, manufacturing, and quality control. His career history includes employment at Indosaw during 2007 to 2008, Moser Baer Solar Ltd. during 2008 to 2013, Mahindra Susten during 2013 to 2019, SB Energy (SoftBank Group) during 2019 to 2021, and Mahindra Teqo during 2022 to 2023.

Upon stepping into his new role, Satish Pandey emphasized his commitment to the sector’s evolution.

“Every new beginning carries the promise of impact and growth. Today marks more than a career move it’s a commitment to shaping the future of Renewable energy,” he stated.

As Azure Power continues to scale its operations, Satish Pandey will focus on driving engineering excellence and setting new benchmarks in clean energy.
