Battery Smart, India’s largest battery-swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers, has announced a partnership with Lilypad, the country’s newest digital marketplace for two-wheeler EVs. This collaboration aims to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible, affordable, and convenient, thereby accelerating the adoption of electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) across Delhi-NCR.
Through this program, battery-less electric two-wheelers are now offered on the Lilypad infrastructure, fully compatible with the wide swapping system of Battery Smart. This new technology eliminates battery ownership and reduces initial expenses and eliminates the difficulties of charging and servicing batteries.
Through the three-month activation campaign of October through December 2025, Lilypad will be selling the Battery Smart ecosystem-powered E2W at a rate of about 1,000 during the initial three months and plans to expand at a high rate in 2026. The on-ground activation will occur in Noida and Greater Noida and will provide consumers, in particular, students and young professionals, with a chance to explore the swappable battery technology on the ground.
Speaking about the partnership, Prateek Joshi, Senior Director – Partnerships at Battery Smart, said, “This is a giant leap toward making EVs mainstream. By combining Battery Smart’s battery-swapping infrastructure with Lilypad’s innovative marketplace, we’re not just selling electric vehicles—we’re transforming how people move, making transportation more accessible, reliable, and 100% electric.”
Uday Parmar, Co-Founder of Lilypad, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Our mission at Lilypad has always been to simplify EV adoption. Partnering with Battery Smart allows us to offer customers vehicles without the burden of battery ownership while giving them access to India’s most trusted swapping network. This collaboration is a catalyst for the next wave of electric mobility in Delhi-NCR.”
Battery Smart and Lilypad are also producing a cleaner, more versatile, and future-ready EV ecosystem, enabling riders and facilitating the process of India moving towards sustainable transportation.
