JBM Group has announced the appointment of Bimal Jindal as Chief Executive Officer – Energy Business, marking a strategic leadership move as the company intensifies its focus on renewable and clean energy initiatives. In this pivotal role, Bimal will oversee the company’s energy portfolio, driving strategy, operations, and large-scale project execution across solar, wind, energy storage, and green energy development. His mandate includes accelerating growth, fostering innovation, and positioning JBM Group at the forefront of India’s transition to sustainable energy.
With over two decades of experience in renewable energy, green infrastructure, and independent power producer-led (IPP) businesses, Bimal brings a unique combination of technical expertise, strategic vision, and execution excellence. His career demonstrates consistent leadership across supply chain management, project development, mergers & acquisitions, and end-to-end delivery of large-scale clean energy assets across domestic and international markets.
Prior to joining JBM Group, Bimal served as Renewable Energy Leader at Gentari, where he played a key role in expanding clean energy operations across India and Southeast Asia. Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer & President at Welspun New Energy Ltd., leading integrated operations across the company’s solar and renewable energy portfolio. At Larsen & Toubro, he headed Green Energy Development, focusing on scaling the company’s presence in renewables and sustainability solutions.
Bimal also spent over five years with SB Energy (SoftBank Group), holding senior roles including Director and Vice President – Supply Chain Management, where he managed strategic sourcing and large-scale solar and wind projects. His earlier experience spans roles at SunEdison, GVK, Reliance Industries Limited, and Alstom Power, where he gained a strong foundation in procurement, contracts, and engineering project management.
Bimal holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, a Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management from IMT Ghaziabad, and executive certifications from the Indian School of Business (Strategic Finance) and MIT (Cultural Competence for Success in the Global Workplace).
In his new role, Bimal will focus on expanding JBM Group’s energy portfolio, driving execution of large-scale projects, and ensuring the company plays a prominent role in India’s shift toward cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions. His extensive expertise across solar, wind, energy storage, and green molecules positions him to lead the company through the next phase of growth and solidify JBM Group’s presence in the renewable energy sector.
