BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (BRPL) has entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JBM Ecofuel, the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and e-mobility arm of the JBM Group, marking a strategic collaboration aimed at promoting sustainable urban mobility in Delhi. The agreement was formalized with the signing of the MoU by BRPL CEO Abhishek Ranjan and JBM Ecofuel CEO Manoj Gupta.
This partnership is focused on integrating BRPL’s smart grid technology with JBM Ecofuel’s EV charging solutions to support the growth of eco-friendly e-mobility, specifically targeting Delhi’s public transport sector. The initiative plans to pilot a demand response program at e-bus depots, which will optimize EV charging schedules, thereby reducing peak load stress on the city’s power grid. This approach aims to ensure a reliable and efficient charging infrastructure for electric buses operating in the capital.
BRPL highlighted that this collaboration is the first of its kind in Delhi and has the potential to transform the landscape of green mobility in the city. By synchronizing EV charging with smart grid technology, the partnership seeks to smooth out electricity demand curves, minimize grid strain during peak hours, and contribute to cleaner air quality. This strategic integration supports the broader goal of creating a smarter, more sustainable urban environment, facilitating the shift towards clean energy transportation.
Overall, the alliance between BRPL and JBM Ecofuel underscores a pioneering step toward enhancing Delhi’s commitment to sustainable development and environmentally friendly public transport solutions, fostering a greener future for the city and its residents.
