EVgo & GM Expand Partnership: 400 Fast Charging Stalls Nationwide

EVgo Inc., one of the country’s largest public fast charging networks, and General Motors (GM) have announced an expansion of their collaboration to deploy 400 fast charging stalls at flagship locations in significant metropolitan areas across the United States. This is a significant step toward meeting the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

The new flagship stations are designed to give EV drivers a more convenient, dependable, and user-friendly charging experience. They will include pull-through stations, abundant lighting, security cameras, and state-of-the-art 350kW fast chargers. With up to 20 stalls available at most locations and some with even more, these stations are expected to become essential EV charging centers. Selected locations in densely populated regions like Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New York, and Texas will provide drivers with local shopping, dining, and coffee shops as well as other facilities to enjoy while charging.

EV charging is larger stall count locations, high-power charging, and designing around features that customers love – such as pull-through access, canopies, and convenient amenities,” said Dennis Kish, President of EVgo. “Through this next evolution of EVgo and GM’s esteemed collaboration, the future of EV charging is here.”

The first flagship location is scheduled to open in 2025. The stations are modular in design, enabling faster construction through the use of prefabricated components and potential extension. EVgo and GM Energy will co-brand the flagship stations, carrying on their joint endeavor to lead the industry in customer-focused charging solutions.
